Renewal of the collective bargaining agreement at Kronospan

On May 4, 2023, the OGBL, the company’s majority union, and the LCGB signed a renewed collective bargaining agreement with Kronospan’s management, covering the 350 or so employees of the wood processing company.

The new collective bargaining agreement covers a two-year period, from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024, and includes the following improvements:

  • introduction of an additional bonus of 1,800 euros for each employee for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement: this bonus will be paid in 4 instalments of 450 euros (June 2023, December 2023, June 2024, December 2024).
  • an increase in the attendance bonus from 2,500 to 3,000 euros.
  • introduction of a retirement bonus: 3,500 euros gross for seniority of at least 20 years, 2,000 euros gross for seniority of at least 15 years, 1,000 euros for seniority of at least 10 years.
  • introduction of a seniority bonus: 250 euros for 5 years’ seniority, 500 euros for 10 years’ seniority, 750 euros for 15 years’ seniority, 1000 euros for 20 years’ seniority, 1500 euros for 25 years’ seniority, 2000 euros for 30 years’ seniority.
  • upward revision of certain grades in the salary scale, resulting in higher wages for the employees concerned.
