Missions and objectives

The Disabled Workers’ Department brings together all OGBL members with the status of disabled workers.

The Disabled Workers’ Department is a statutory body of the confederation. On the basis of the OGBL’s statutes, policy papers and programs of action, it represents the trade union, political and social demands of disabled workers.

The Disabled Workers’ Department has among others the following key missions:

  • to interest disabled workers in trade union missions and to win them as members and militants;
  • in collaboration with the STH/ADEM, to help and guide disabled people in finding a job;
  • to create and maintain relations with other organizations of people with disabilities working in the same direction as our department, at the national and international level. If necessary, the department can support these groups by joining their activities;
  • represent the political, economic, social and cultural interests of people with disabilities through union positions and actions.
