Collective agreement between Chemgas Barging and the OGBL renewed

With effect from 1 January 2026 and for a term of one year, the collective agreement between Chemgas Barging Sàrl and the OGBL — the only trade union representing staff at Chemgas — has recently been renewed.

The negotiations were constructive overall, and several improvements for the workforce were agreed, including a general pay rise of 1% and the introduction of an on-call allowance to which all ships’ crews are entitled.

The collective agreement runs until 31 December 2026 and will be renegotiated thereafter.

Chemgas Barging Sàrl is a Luxembourg-based barging company that transports liquefied gas on inland waterways and employs around 200 staff.
