Let’s send a clear message to the government this 1 May!

The OGBL is calling on all its members to turn out in force on 1 May. Indeed, given the political direction the government has once again taken at the start of this year, the 1 May mobilisation is now of paramount importance. Whilst the government dithers, hesitates or simply tries to play for time on issues that are nonetheless urgent and major (regulation of platform work, organisation of working time, reform of professional reclassification, securing career paths, etc.), it has now also decided that there will be no structural increase in the minimum wage, which is currently far from sufficient to live decently in Luxembourg.

And this, even though a European directive requires it to do so.

WORK TO LIVE,
NOT JUST TO SURVIVE!

The government has decided there will be no increase the social minimum wage – ignoring reality.

1 in 7 people live
in poverty

DIGNITY THROUGH WAGES:
Every 7th worker in Luxembourg lives in poverty! Work must ensure a decent standard of living without having to rely on social security. Wages must be a fair recognition of our efforts.

We need +300 €

To guarantee an adequate social minimum wage (SSM), a structural increase of 12% (i.e. around 300€) is, however, essential. And this is precisely what a European directive calls for when referring to an adequate minimum wage.

Hands off
my index!

LET’S PROTECT OUR PURCHASING POWER:
An attack on the indexation system is already being prepared. We reject any manipulation of the mechanism that protects our purchasing power

This attack affects us all !

By targeting the the minimum wage and the index, the wages of all workers are under threat.
After 2 years of attacks on workers, we have reached a turning point.

TOGETHER,
LET’S DEFEND
OUR WAGES
& OUR DIGNITY!

Let’s turn out in force for the OGBL President’s May Day speech.
