Renewal of the collective bargaining agreement at the Monplaisir laundry

The OGBL, the only union represented in the company, the staff delegation and the management of the Monplaisir laundry recently signed the renewal of the collective agreement for the company’s 29 employees.

Although Monplaisir is still forecasting lower financial results for 2022 and 2023, the various parties were able to reach an agreement that, while taking these results into account, guarantees the continued employment of the laundry’s employees.

The new collective agreement comes into force (retroactively) on January 1, 2023 for a period of three years, i.e. until December 31, 2025.

The key improvements included in the new CBA are as follows

  • Introduction of an additional vacation day after 15 years with the Company
  • Recovery at the end of the year of the monthly bonus not received as a result of absences (up to a maximum of 400 euros per year), provided that the absences do not exceed 5 days out of a maximum of two periods of absence.
  • Salary increases based on seniority:
    • +1% from the 20th year
    • +1% from the 25th year
    • +1% from the 30th year

Finally, it should be noted that the negotiations that led to this agreement took place in a constructive climate.
