Created on May 24, 2006, the Civil Aviation Syndicate is one of the most recent professional syndicates of the OGBL. The founding members were employees of Luxair, Cargolux, VLM-Airlines, DSV, Westair Luxembourg as well as public servants of the Airport Administration.

The policy of liberalization and privatization was the trigger for the implementation of this professional syndicate. The newly created structures allowed a much more effective defense of interests in the sector, at national, European and international level
