Am 28. und 29. Juni tagte das Exekutivkomitee des europ\u00e4ischen Gewerkschaftsbundes (EGB) in Br\u00fcssel. Auf der Tagesordnung standen die Auswertung der rezenten Demonstration in Luxemburg, die Planung und Umsetzung der auf dem Kongress in Athen beschlossenen Kampagne des EGB, die Lage der Menschen in Griechenland, die europ\u00e4ische Austerit\u00e4tspolitik, der europ\u00e4ische Sozialdialog, die Arbeitszeitrichtlinie und die Sicherheit der Atomkraftwerke in Europa.
\nDie Demonstration in Luxemburg vom 21. Juni, ausgelegt als europ\u00e4ische Kundgebung mit regionalem Charakter, war ein voller Erfolg.
\nDie n\u00e4chste EGB-Aktion wird voraussichtlich, unter polnischer Pr\u00e4sidentschaft, im September 2011 in Breslau stattfinden. Der EGB hat sich auf seinem Athener Kongress ein ambiti\u00f6ses und umfangreiches Arbeitsprogramm gegeben, das jetzt schrittweise umgesetzt werden soll. Die europ\u00e4ische Gewerkschaftsbewegung muss ihre mediale Pr\u00e4senz ausbauen und st\u00e4rker f\u00fcr ihre Vorschl\u00e4ge und Forderungen werben.
\n\u00dcbereinstimmend stellte man fest, dass die Griechenland verordnete Sparpolitik das Land nur noch weiter schw\u00e4cht und weder L\u00f6sungen noch Perspektiven aufzeigt.
\nDie griechischen Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer haben besseres verdient .
\nNach einer kurzen Analyse des Istzustandes des europ\u00e4ischen Sozialdialogs, zeigte sich der EGB grunds\u00e4tzlich dazu bereit, in Verhandlungen mit den europ\u00e4ischen Arbeitgebern \u00fcber die Arbeitszeitrichtlinie einzusteigen. Voraussetzung hierf\u00fcr ist und bleibt allerdings, dass alle strittigen Punkte auf die Tagesordnung kommen m\u00fcssen.
