The staff delegation at Amazon Luxembourg has achieved a significant milestone in employee rights and working conditions. Following sustained dialogue and negotiation, Amazon Luxembourg has formally agreed to grant all eligible employees the right to work from home one day per week, effective July 1st.<\/p>\n
This important outcome is the result of months of constructive pressure and persistent advocacy by the staff delegation. In particular, OGBL welcomes the staff delegation\u2019s exercising of its co-decision right in negotiating a work-from-home policy that genuinely Amazon employees\u2019 growing demands for greater flexibility in their working arrangements.<\/p>\n
The agreement represents a meaningful step forward, not only in enhancing workplace flexibility but also in strengthening the role of the staff delegation \u2013 which now includes OGBL delegates for the first time in Amazon Luxembourg\u2019s 20-year history.<\/p>\n
While the new policy allows for one remote day per week, OGBL views this as a first step, not a final destination. Many employees have voiced their desire for more expansive hybrid work options, and the union is committed to continuing efforts to advance these flexible arrangements.<\/p>\n
OGBL welcomes this progress and calls on Amazon Luxembourg to maintain constructive dialog with employee representatives and the union to shape policies collaboratively, in particular those pertaining to the staff delegation\u2019s right to co-decision.<\/p>\n
