{"id":14280,"date":"2023-01-20T17:10:15","date_gmt":"2023-01-20T16:10:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ogbl.lu\/communique\/la-commission-europeenne-veut-liberaliser-les-reglements-concernant-le-service-occasionnel-du-bus"},"modified":"2023-11-14T09:02:34","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T08:02:34","slug":"la-commission-europeenne-veut-liberaliser-les-reglements-concernant-le-service-occasionnel-du-bus","status":"publish","type":"communiques","link":"https:\/\/www.ogbl.lu\/en\/communique\/la-commission-europeenne-veut-liberaliser-les-reglements-concernant-le-service-occasionnel-du-bus\/","title":{"rendered":"The European Commission wants to liberalize the rules for occasional bus services!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Transport Workers&#8217; Federation (ETF), to which the OGBL and its syndicate Transport sur Route &amp; Navigation\/ACAL belong, recently drew attention to a reform initiated by the European Commission concerning occasional bus services.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the European Commission wants to further liberalize the sector, to the detriment of drivers, passengers and other road users! In particular, they want to introduce the following reforms<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Less restrictions on the 12-day derogation<\/strong>: removing the obligation to take two weekly breaks after each 12-day period; extending the derogation to occasional domestic services; removing the single service condition.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Splitting of daily breaks<\/strong>: introducing the possibility of splitting the mandatory 45-minute break into three 15-minute parts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Introduction of the possibility of postponing the daily break by up to 2 hours<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If implemented, this reform will lead to a massive deterioration in the working conditions of casual workers. The ETF will therefore continue to fight these proposals at European level.
