Der Pr\u00e4sident der AFL-CIO, Richard Trumka, und die Generalsekret\u00e4rin des EGB, Bernadette S\u00e9gol, haben eine transatlantische Handels- und Investitions-Partnerschaft, die allgemein im Interesse der Arbeitnehmer und ihrer Familien ist, er\u00f6rtert.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bei ihrem Treffen in Paris haben Richard Trumka, Pr\u00e4sident der AFL-CIO, und Bernadette S\u00e9gol, Pr\u00e4sidentin des EGB, ihre gemeinsamen Priorit\u00e4ten bez\u00fcglich des PTCI (transatlantische Handels- und Investitionspartnerschaft) zur Verteidigung der Interessen der Arbeitnehmer und zum Kampf gegen die unvern\u00fcnftigen Austerit\u00e4tspolitiken dies- und jenseits des Atlantiks besprochen. <\/em><\/p>\n

Die AFL-CIO und der EGB haben gemeinsam eine Kampagne gestartet, um sicherzustellen, dass geteilte Umverteilung des geschaffenen Wohlstands und nachhaltiges Wachstum die Grunds\u00e4tze der kommenden Diskussionen \u00fcber ein Handelsabkommen namens PTCI zwischen den Vereinigten Staaten und der Europ\u00e4ischen Union sind.<\/p>\n

Sowohl EGB als auch AFL-CIO vertreten beide die Auffassung, dass die Handelspartnerschaft auf Best Practices, die sich auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks bew\u00e4hrt haben, aufgebaut werden muss, damit es positive Auswirkungen auf die Besch\u00e4ftigung und das Wirtschaftswachstum hat. Jede der beiden Organisationen hat sich verpflichtet die notwendigen Mittel und Anstrengungen aufzubringen, um die Gew\u00e4hr zu geben, dass sowohl die Arbeitnehmer als auch die Unterh\u00e4ndler verstehen wie das PTCI gestaltet werden muss, damit gr\u00f6\u00dftm\u00f6gliche Vorteile f\u00fcr die Arbeitnehmer entstehen. Priorit\u00e4re Bereiche werden die im Abkommen festzulegenden Bestimmungen betreffend Besch\u00e4ftigung, Reglementierungen und Investitionen sein.<\/p>\n

Beide Parteien sind \u00fcbereingekommen, dass das PTCI Ziele wie Vollbesch\u00e4ftigung, menschenw\u00fcrdige Arbeit und bessere Lebensstandards f\u00fcr alle anstreben und nicht die Austerit\u00e4t, Deregulierung und andere ach so in Mode gekommenen neoliberale zerst\u00f6rerische Ideen verankern sollte. Oberste Priorit\u00e4t ist f\u00fcr Trumka und S\u00e9gol die Erarbeitung einer gemeinsamen Erkl\u00e4rung zum k\u00fcnftigen Vertrag. Sie haben beschlossen in engem Kontakt zu bleiben und den Ablauf der Verhandlungen genauestens zu verfolgen.<\/p>\n

Beide Gewerkschaftsf\u00fchrer haben auch die unannehmbare Lage bez\u00fcglich des Arbeitsrechts im Bangladesch bem\u00e4ngelt und ausgelotet wie man gemeinsam vorgehen k\u00f6nne, um den Arbeitnehmern im Bangladesch bessere Arbeitsbedingungen und gerechtere Entlohnung gew\u00e4hrleisten zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n
